Applications
Academics and Researchers
Academics and researchers study media attention and influence for issues affecting countries around the world, and access our raw data through the public API.
Nonprofits
By monitoring how their area of focus is spoken about in the news, non-profit organizations use Media Cloud to strategically design their advocacy and communications efforts, maximizing attention towards their cause.
Foundations
Foundations track how causes and organizations they support are presented in the media, and use these insights to better monitor programs and allocate resources.
Activists
Understanding trends in mainstream news media helps activists advocate for the rights of underserved communities and underrepresented issues, as well as find strategic media outlets to partner with.
Journalists
Journalists use Media Cloud to discover trends in online conversation, examine the key topics published by specific outlets, and investigate the impact of stories on the digital media ecosystem
Content Creators
Understanding which narratives or storytelling formats dominate a particular issue, or have been most successful in communicating particular messages, helps creators reverse-engineer the content development process.
